LaShawn Marroquin is a professional photographer specializing in studio food photography and food styling. She is based out of Gaffney, SC, and has earned her Master's of Arts degree from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA. She creates artistically lit photographs with a minimalist approach. Her unique and innovative lighting techniques emphasize images' texture, shape, and style until the photo communicates precisely what she wants to convey; the meticulous attention to the tiniest details is critical as she strives to produce the best artistically created photograph. LaShawn uses vibrant colors and strong compositional lines and opts to use fewer props which lets the food be the primary focus to entice the viewer to indulge. She creates images in their truest raw form and offers various visual treats that tell beautiful stories with her photographs.
